One of the more cultural experiences we had in Jordan was going to a Mosque and being taught by a Muslim what Islam is all about. The women had to wear special black dresses and headscarves in order to enter the Mosque, and we all removed our shoes. We spent more than an hour listening to the fundamental beliefs of Muslims, and then how they worshipped.

  1. :-) Glad that you are being exposed to many cultures and beliefs! Thanks for sharing!! xoxo

  2. Wow! I first experienced mosques in Istanbul last year in Turkey. I felt they were holy and overwhelming, mysterious and beautiful. What a great experience to have someone explain their beliefs so thoroughly. I wish we'd had that privilege. Knowing more about the Muslim faith will be really important in the next few years.
